pain running up head after dental work

Had a temporary crown 2 weeks ago. Since that time have had intermittent streaking pain from back of jaw to top of head on the left side. Dentist had to inject me twice on that side during the procedure. Do you think that could be the cause of the pain??

It could be pain from the injection site although two weeks is a bit of time for it to last.  It could also be radiating from the tooth that was worked on.  It may need a root canal possibly.
