I am not a dentist.
But if you keep having the pain for 4 month, then you might check into the disorder called, "Phantom Tooth Pain" or "Atypical Odontalgia."
You can get the general information by googling these words.
I have Atypical Odontalgia, myself.
And I just created the website called, atypicalodontalgia.com or phantomtoothpain.com
In the website, I put the links to American Academy of Orofacial Pain (www.aaop.org) and other articles.
It is still "kind of" under constraction.
But if you think that you might have Atypical Odontalgia, then you should see the dentist specializing Orofacial pain.
If you go to aaop.org, you will find the page that you can find the local orofacial pain clinics or dentists who are the members of aaop.
You might also want to see a neurologist.
AO is Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) which is limited to mainly on teeth.
If you happen to have AO or TN, the doctor(s) will prescribe TCA anti-depressant, and/or anti-convulsant.
I pray that your pain would go away and you don't have phantom tooth pain.
