painful lump on jaw

I have a knot on my left jaw that hurst when pressed on.  What might this be?

The nodule could be reactive lymph node, abscess,  spasmatic muscle, or tumor.Seeing a dentist is advised.

i have a painful lump on the underside of my jawline and when it came around all my teeth are tingly and my gums are very sensitive and bleeding, is this related, should i worry??

Thank you for your response.  The lump has gone away along with the tenderness, so maybe it was a lymph node.  Anyway, luckily it went away without any treatment.
