I had a cracked molar (second back left lower side) and my dentist said I needed a crown. I had my crown prep done a month ago. Dr. removed the cracked portion, placed a pin in and rebuilt up the tooth. The dental hygeinest made my temporary crown. I went home, and when the numbing wore off, I was in severe pain. not just my tooth. but also my whole
faceFace pain and jaw. I called the dr. and was told it was

Nerve conduction velocity then patched the hole. I was in worse pain than when I went in. I begged for antibiotics, and pain meds which my dentist reluctantly prescribed. he told me I needed a root canal. So, I promptly went to an endodontist. who spent an hour with me. The endo advised me it was a jaw problem from clenching and grinding my

Toothaches (which explained the
faceFace pain and jaw pain) and also a poorly constructed temp crown. Just to be sure, I went back 2 weeks later, and had the endo check me out again. same conclusion, and he advised to go get my permanant crown on. Went in two days ago, and had my permanant crown put on. Now my tooth feels 90% better since having the perm crown put on except for ONE thing, I still can't eat on that side at all! everytime I try to bite down there is a sharp pain that shoots into my tooth where the crack/pin was. What could be causing it?
