remove wisdom teeth

I had a x-ray of my mouth done and then my dentist told me that my all four wisdom teeth should be removed because they will effect other teeth lining when they come out.

I want to know why is it necessary to remove wisdom teeth? What are positives except that removing wisdom teeth will not affect other teeth lining and may prevent chances of infection around wisdom teeth? What are negative sides?

I am tired of this procedure or that procedure and going to here and there, and now this.  I don’t want to complain but I am already struggling with poor general health, stress, anxiety and insomnia and my GP is no help.
and I see a psychiatrist, who suggests meds.  I currently take olonzapine.

Is this fact or myth that removing wisdom teeth impairs eyesight and then require glasses?  Please list some reasoning if removing does not affect eyesight.  I don’t like putting on glasses or dealing with contact lenses.

Also I get nasty spit first thing in morning? Why is this? I brush well and use mouthwash and floss time to time. I had cleaning done recently. Is it Plaque?  I forgot to ask my dentist. It's annoying.

Thank Your for your input.

I don't know where to begin. You say you had pain in your mouth prior to the surgery and worst after surgery, right?  Well,  I am not having any pain in my jaw, gum or wisdom tooth right now.  It's too bad you are having too much pain and taking painkillers and antibiotics for it.

When I open my jaw wide I hear little bone noises from my jaw.  I used to think this might be because I have poor general health, insomnia and depression and maybe body leeching calcium into my body.  But now I think it is because of bacteria eating away my jaw bones?

I also get nasty spit first thing in morning.  I have good dental hygiene.  I do brush my teeth, use mouthwash time to time and floss when feel necessary.  After your post I think it's bacteria and food rotting between wisdom teeth etc which give me nasty spit in mouth.  Could this be it?

I don't like going under anesthesia.  I had a sleep test done and I had an allergic reaction to it the for 4-5 days.  I had intense itching all over body and felt so sick.  I hope oral surgeon will give local anesthesia instead putting me to sleep.  I don't like taking antibiotics- they make your body weak.   Why did you have to take antibiotics?  Your oral surgeon removed wisdom teeth and bacteria should go away or reduce because food will not get stuck in your teeth anymore?

I will meet with my dentist this Monday Aug 23.  I don't know why they did not book an appointment with oral surgeon prior to surgery, and instead will see my dentist regarding this matter.  They say it is necessary.

I hope all goes well with minimum adverse reaction to anesthesia, bear pain and no   numbness after surgery.

I will update here about what more my dentist has to say on Monday

i removed my four wisdom tooth on 13th aug.and if your dentist is saying then u should go with ur dentist.the reason can be u have impacted wisdom tooth means that they are grown partially a bit upwards the gum and then downward.aud second reason can be there is no space or may be they are rotten.if they are impacted the food can caught between your tooth and the impacted wisdom tooth and may be it creates a big cavity.the disadvantage is that because i was no having too much pain and i wait for one and half year but after this u can have worst pain and swelling in the gums and take pain killers everyday.because it will happen ag
ain and again may be a week or two u will feel better after taking antibiotics but u will have pain after this.so dentist know better.when gthey will take ur xray.then there will also make ur appointment with oral surgeon he can solve ur queries.
the disadvantage is that the swelling around the gum is caused by bacteria and if u dont remove than it can be spread in all your mouth and can destroy ur jaw bone.the last solution is only surgery.after surgery now its sixth day i have slight pain but not too much that i cry.i cry but when i was having teeth because of too much pain.they will put u on sleep and then they will give u anthesia.the surgery can take hardly one hour.my surgery start on 3:15 and i get up at 4:30.i was fine.but one thing that can be happen rarely is numbness.if ur lower wisdom tooth have extracted u can have lower lip, toungue or chin numbness.numbness is that u cant feel ur toungue or chin or lower li.some time temporary but in rare cases permanently.but i was fine after 4 hours of surgery.the numbness can be becausae of the reason because in xray u can also see a nerve close to ur tooth root or otherwords u can see a white lining it is nerve sometime acciidently during surgery it may damaged.and because of this it can cause numbness.after six days i am fine not having too much pain,no numbness, but taking pain killer paracetamol 500mg.ang also difflM ORAL RINSE.AND ALSO GARGLE WITH Warm water and add salt in it.then i started brush my teeth two days after surgery but no using mouthwash.but after this u cant eat properly.u can only eat soft food.and u will have some stiches but they will disslobe after few day.and on the day or after surgery a blood clot will appear on your gum its symptom that ur gum is healing.secondly may be some whilt spots on your gum its another symtom of healing.but if ur blood clot is not formed or is dislodge and u have pain then u should go to ur dentist then she will put someting  in ur gum otherwise it can results into dry socket.
