Well from the sounds of it the nerve must have been dying for some time. It is possible for the tooth to be completely asymptomatic sometimes.
As for what you said, it troubles me a bit, that tooth normally has three and if young enough 4 canals sometimes. Now do you remember the Endodontist saying anything about calcification of one canal? that is possible also, but they normally would mention those facts to you.
the meds seem right, I would use the same combination, but the throbbing is not normal. Soem soreness, is normal, but not throbbing. Call the office and ask if they filled two canals or three? and mention that you are having severe throbbing pain. Something tells me they might have missed a canal..
