root filling infection?

Hi, on Monday I had a root filling at the dental hospital (bottom left, in front of the back molar) they cleaned the tooth, drilled and searched for 2 hours for the last canal but could not find it.  They told me I'd have to lose the tooth.  The tooth was filled.  When the anaesthetic wore of I had the most excruciating pain in the tooth and jaw.  I went to my dentists and told him about the pain and he game me amoxycillian 250mg for 5 days and took out filling, re cleaned the tooth and filled it.  The pain continued after taking 5 antibiotics and 400mg ibuprofens.  Went to A&E early hours of morning pain so bad.  Went back to dentists he took out my tooth and said I did not need antibiotics anymore as infection if present will drain out.  I have a swelling on left side on jaw, pain is serious had no proper sleep for 4 days now, pain is in jaw and now in my head and underneath my left earlobe is excruciating.  I contacted emergency dental hospital yesterday and left message on answering machine yesterday for advise but no reply as yet.  Please help me, why am I in such pain and what should I do next.  DESPERATE.  PAIN IS SERIOUS.  Thank you.

Gravity boots or yoga are better than a chiropracter for putting your spine back inline if thats the problem.  An aspirin sized amount of calcium powder rubbed on the gums will provide very rapid pain control.  Too much at one time will give you headache.  Rinse mouth with warm water with teaspoon salt in it or clean seawater if you can get it.  Oregano tea either cold or hot can take of infection.  Oregano oil is also available.  Chose this before taking antibiotics.  Place a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil in mouth and swish it around as long as possible also good for dental problems, called oil pulling

Don't pull your teeth out or you'll be more sorry.  Abcesses can be relieved with determination.  Stop eating and drink fresh green vegetable juices. Eat fresh green cabbage.  Blend half a small onion with one stick of celery in a cup of water. Drink slowly, swish around in mouth.

Thanks for the advice.  I am still in agony.  No blood clot present over tooth.  Taken Amoxycillian for 5 days so far 1500mg per day.  Painkillers Ibuprofen dont work.  coedine takes the edge off it slightly.  At least I think I know what the cause is now and I've read up on it, so will ask dentist if he can pack the tooth to give me some relief and cure the problem.  Jaw is now yellow with bruising and jaw and ear pain really severe.  Worst pain I've been in.  Thanks for the advice anyway.  J

It paaears that you might have dry socket, which is commonly associated with lower mandibular molar tooth extraction. Seeing an oral surgeon is advised.
