root pain after bridge put in lower

by savannahcharlestx, Jul 04, 2009 06:21AM
several years ago had a non removable brideg put in lower right...it was a big bridge and has like four teeth. have never been happy because of pain associated with it...actually, the dentist "remade" it several months after it was installed because even he validated it was very "short" and did not do a good job of sitting down on the gum.  Over the years the gums have continued to shrink and I believe the root is explosed because I have toothache pain and when I touch the gum or the part of the bridge....under the fake teeth...I get pain....Can this bridge at the lower edge be mode longer to fill in the space where the part of the brige does not go down to the natural gum? I think the "nerves" are explosed and that is whre the pain is coming from. If I touch the part under the bottom of the teeth with a 'metal' pick used to clean between teeth the pain is terrible...generally the entire area of the gum associated with the bridge aches and seems inflamed. I can't afford a total new bridge...can the space under the teeth that attaches the bridge to my natural teeth be made bigger...in effect making the teeth on the bridge longer and there by covering the part of my teeth that are exposed ?

Gravity boots or yoga are better than a chiropracter for putting your spine back inline if thats the problem.  An aspirin sized amount of calcium powder rubbed on the gums will provide very rapid pain control.  Too much at one time will give you headache.  Rinse mouth with warm water with salt in it or clean seawater if you can get it.  Oregano tea either cold or hot can take of infection.  Oregano oil is also available.  Chose this before taking antibiotics.  Place a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil in mouth and swish it around as long as possible also good for dental problems, called oil pulling

you really need to be checked by  dentist and stop poking at it with the metal thing! usually the bridge needs to be replaced but discuss if there is a temporary fix until you can afford it. you can also see if they can come up with a payment plan. also if you live in area with either a dental school or a low income clinic you could give them a try. good luck!
