All good information above.
The only thing I did not see mentioned is over bleaching can cause sensitivity as well.  This is becoming more noticable with the american culture of wanting unnaturally white teeth.

You have gotten some good responses. There could be several different reasons for the sensitive teeth.  Depending on the location or area of the mouth also if they are sensitive to sweets and/ or carbs..
Clenching and grindding also are known to be reasons for sensitivity, as well as stuffy sinuses. As for the swelling under your chin, it is not a gland but a lymph node. It means you are draining some mild infection somewhere in your head. Could be something as simple as a head cold or soar throat, or clogged sinuses..
Short answer, if in doubt see your dentist and have a check up.
Hope this helps.

the two other posters are correct. it could be a number of things. you should see a dentist to find why your teeth are sensitive. the node under your chin is probably not due to a dental problem. my friends get sick and the glands on the side of their neck hurt but i always get it in the gland under my chin instead.

Do you brush and floss every day, three times a day?  Try flossing and maybe make an appointment with your dentist for a cleaning.  As plaque builds up on your teeth this can cause sensitive teeth to hot and cold, sweets etc.  Also, try using a toothpaste like Sensodyne all the time, it is amazing stuff and may help you out!  As far as the node under your chin, I would see your doctor about it...doesn't seem to me that it would be related to sensitive teeth or decaying teeth.

Good Luck!
