single white bump on tongue

I have a single white bump on the back of my tongue, which has been there for quite some time. I used to dip and smoke but do not anymore. It is pain free as well. Any ideas?

I would recommend following up with a dentist or oral surgeon to get a biopsy if possible.  Anytime there's a history of smoking or smokeless tobacco, it increases your risk for oral cancer although I wouldn't say that it is.  But even if its a precancerous lesion, it would be great to get it removed before it worsens.
