Not all toothaches are odontogenous. Your desrcriptions suggest non-odontogenous toothache. There are muscular toothache, sinus toothache, neuropathic toothache, cardiac toothache, and neurovascular toothache. If ENT can not identify sinus pathology , seeing an orofacial pain specialist to investigate the source of pain is warranted.
I need to ask this. first i have an appointment with an ENT tomorrow. but today my tooth hurt so i put ice on my face it relived it some what then i tooka q tip and put ambesol on the tooth that i thought was causing the pain when i touched the outer top part of the tooth that is right by the gum i almost went through the roof it sent such a shock like sensation through me and now it is huring even worse. Does that sound like sinus i am more inclined that i have a bad tooth. Thank you i am tired of just haveing pain while waiting for dr and dentist apt. and its the holidays so no one is in very long.. Thank you
Seeing an ENT is advised.
