sliver of bone stuck down gum in mouth

A sliver of bone has lodged itself down my gum in back molars after eating chicken. I can feel the very tip of it but cannot dislodge it. Any suggestions. Will it come out of its own accord?
cheers

Hi,
Try starting to rinse with warm salt water (1/4tsp to 8oz warm water).  This will help reduce any swelling around the fragment and make it easier to dislodge.  If this doesn't work in a day or so, get to the dentist and let him remove it.  You can get a nasty infection if you don't.

Good luck.  Hope the warm salt water takes care if it for you.

Best to you,
Gellia
