taste bud problem?

I have one taste bud on my tongue (towards the front) that is hard and white.  It appeared several weeks ago.  The only thing that I can think of that might have caused it is that I started using a toothpaste with whitening in it.  Do you think that this is a problem, or just a normal reaction to something irritating like the whitening paste?  Thanks

It is possible that you might have gotten a reaction to the toothpaste. Wait a few days and if doesn't improve then see your dentist or an oral surgeon.
