temp filling

temp filling

I broke a tooth.  It is just to the left for the 2 front teeth.  I scheduled a dental appointment and the dentist put on a temp filling until they could fit me in for a real repair in 2 weeks.  The tooth does not hurt...its just ugly.  The temp filling fell out after a few hours and I saw there were over the counter repair kits.  The only problem is they are a very bright white and no where near natural colors.  Are there any varieties available in an "off white".  I know they won't last long but if I could put something in there to protect the break that is not neon white I would.  Thanks.

The over-the-counter temporary filling materials you find are inexpensive because they only come in one color.  I do not usually like them, but since you already have an appt. coming up, they should be just fine.

I have not tried this, so don't take my word on it...but you might try adding just half a drop of yellow food coloring to the mix and see if that helps.

Good idea on the food coloring.  I may just do that to see what color I get.
