thrush?

Hello, I think I am experiencing an outbreak of thrush.  I first noticed it around 20 August.  On or around that date, angular chelitis appeared in one corner of my mouth and my tongue was senstive.  The angular chelitis cleared up after about 2.5 weeks.  Today, there is no uncomfortable sensation and I can eat normally, though there are pronounced white bumps at the back of my tongue.  These do not appear to scrape away on brushing, though I haven't tried vigorously scraping at them.  I have only run my fingernail over the bumps to see if they would come off.  The condition has had no effect on the taste of foods.  Is it thrush?  Could the following cause it?

(1) About two/three weeks before the symptoms appeared I had a cavity filled.  Because of its location, the repairs that the dentist did affected my bite.  After the procedure, my mouth was very sore for about a week.  I returned to the dentist, and he did some more drilling to normalize my bite.  The soreness/sensitivity went away after a few days.
(2) The dentist informed me on that second visit that I might have TMJ and that there was strong evidence that I grind my teeth.
(3) I was using a topical corticosteroid cream for sebhorreic dermatitis for several weeks before the outbreak of the angular chelitis and thrush.
(4)  All this time I have been smoking roughly 1 pack of cigarettes a day and I frequently experience dry mouth.
