tongue dentist said its nothing but what is it?

qwq
I went to my dentist the other day to have him check these red spots on each side on my tongue there only on the side part of the tongue that hit the side of the mouth. Its more red then the tongue itself and it has white only under the bottom of these red spots.one side its about an inch long the other side its about 2 inches long.there on my part of my tongue that sits back where there is no teeth maybe a about a half inch from where the molors end.he told me its not oral cancer and not to worry about it.I can only see it when i stick my tongue way out of my mouth.but im wondering what the heck it could be?he said he doesnt know.it really bothers me he doesnt know what it is and im still worried about even though he said its nothing to worry about after all its in my mouth.anyone know what the heck this could be?its driving me nuts.

Non smoker, non drinker, don't touch tabacco or drugs.
Have small bump on side of the tongue and is painful.
Feels like something growing inside the tongue, is just a small
"thing" and there's no color changes.
I've lived a long life being vegan, practice healthy living, rest, fresh air, no stress.
Should this be checked out...or iam I just paranoid?
A doctor looked at it, tells me I simply bit myself during the night
and for me to just take some antibiotics.
But I'm worried. How could I get cancer when I don't smoke, drink and am healthy vegan?
Thanks

Go see an oral surgeon, they deal with lesions more often and will be able to tell you what they are.
