tooth ache pain

Is there anything a person can do at home to lessen the pain of a toothache until you can get into a dentist (which isn't very easy)?

I think you would be better off taking a simple over the counter analgesic(Advil etc.) and find  dentist tht would see you asap.

Ice packs help tremendously.  Also, rinsing with listerine (no other's will do) acts as a topical analgesic and won't burn your mouth like others such as anbesol etc. will do if used frequently.  Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
