tooth pain after toothache from root canal

I really don't understand this, well the dentist started a root canal 6 weeks ago. After 3 days I had the worse pain I ever had in that tooth. Went back to the dentist. He said I had an infection that he didn't see.O.K. he gave me pain killers.I can't take codiene so I got darvocet and antibiotic.I cried for 3 days after that. Finally the pain went away.Didn't get the root canal finished because my appointment didn't come up yet. But I am getting that pain back again! Its getting worse. I have an appointment tomorrow but what is causing this?

Hello I went to the dentist out here in Belleville IL. I went to this dentist before.
The problem is most of the dentist don't stay around 6 month to a year at best, However I went to get a filling the first time out this guy look kinda of young but, greedy "well" I mean he would have up to 30 patients in one setting never on time. This dentist always in a rush when he put in my filling.
It felt like I had an extra tooth.
I would later have to go back one month later the pain was unreal. He says "Oh I went to high"
Ok, I ask him could he give me some antiboatics he said no! just take motron over the counter.
It's been a total of 3 months the pain will not go away, my gum the side where he did the filling now has
a gum boil very red & soar. I believe this guy is fresh out of dentist school.
I need some help. I also believe this guy should not be doing any fillings or dentist work period!

The dentist should of cleaned the tooth and canals right out and put this stuff inside that kills all infection. Then put a temp filling in the tooth.  Then he should x ray the tooth about 2 weeks later to see all infection is clear, then fill the tooth. I could taste the anti septic stuff in my mouth after my first visit and went back 3 weeks later and the X ray showed the tooth was totally clear from any infection. I would follow other posters advice and get a new dentist asap.
