two lumps under my tongue?

I just noticed two bone like feeling lumps under my tongue on the left and right side of my gums under my tongue could anyone give me insight on what this may be??

My initial guess is that its a mandibular tori.  Its excess bone along the jaw bone.  There's a few ideas about the tori itself.  Some people believe that its just a variation of bone structure and nothing to worry about.  Others believe it may indicate bruxism (grinding/clenching teeth) and that the excess bone is developed in response so that stress to help stabilize the teeth.

I would suggest mentioning it to your dentist at your next checkup.  There's no pain or any symptoms right?
