whitening teeth while wearing braces

I keep hearing that I shouldn't whiten my teeth while wearing braces because I'll have yellow spots where the brackets are when I remove the braces! What if I had whitened my teeth before right before I got the braces; won't the area under the brackets just stay white and continue to matched the areas I can still whiten?

no they will be yellow i did the same thing it was a waste of money becasue they just turned yellow again. i just got mine off just wait till you get them off its worth the wait. If you dont want to do that there are little gel pens that u can rub on the outside of you teeth around the brackets which works :)
