wisdom teeth

10 days ago I had 3 impacted wisdom teeth removed. I was in agony for 3 days and went to er with a temp and extremely swollen with a big knot on my temple. That was 3 days after surgery. That night I found out I had a dry socket. I was on anibiotics. It is a little better but still have this foul odor coming from my mouth and continue to have this horrible tasting something coming from one of the gums. It continues to hurt but not as bad. I feel extremely tired and I am getting worried about this pain. Also how long will it be before I am able to open my mouth. I can barely open it enough to get a sandwich in it.

Trismus is commonly associated with lower wisdim teeth extraction. If current antiobiotics doesn't provide significant relief, switch to clindamycin and metronidazole is recommended.You can deliver cold spray along masseter muscle and open your jaw. If the first application doesn't yield enough, warm up the muscle again. Repeat the same procedure 3-5 times. The maneuver can genarally help open the jaw readily.
