wisdom tooth

about two years ago i hadserve pain in my botom right wisdom tooth the denist only managed to do part of the roots as it was to painfull even after five injections, he filled the tooth up and it was fine, i now have a big whole and on a litle piece of the tooth left, the last dennist did say i would have to go to the hospital to have it removed, wht shall i do go dennist or hospital and what will the do, plz help

If its a difficult extraction, an oral surgeon may be better qualified to remove the tooth compared to a general dentist although a general dentist who has experience and training could remove it also.
