3 days on Wellbutrin...feeling worse..

Been taking WellbutrinXL for 3 days now and have been feeling worse.  I've heard that it takes awhile before you start feeling the effects or feeling better and to give it a few weeks.  I've never been on antidepressants before but I've always had problems with depression my whole life. I'm now 29. Just was wondering if there is someone on same medication and how long it took them to start "coming around."  My doctor didn't give me much information.  He said it's more of a "motivator" antidepressant which is what I'm hoping for.  Just recently got off opiates after being adicted for over 1 year and 1/2.  Any feedback or advice would be helpful, Thanks.

You have to give it a few weeks to really work optimally, but  you should see  gradual improvement...but have to take into account your history of opiates which mean that the neurotransmitters being effected  in your brain may be off kilter and it may take a little longer for you.. but also, pay attention to your life not just your moods...you might try the free building of a smart  plan at my new site www.myvirtualshrink.com.
