Alztimers

My mother is 73 and has Alztimers disease and diabetic.  She is in a nursing home and is receiving transadone & haldol for her outbreaks of anger.  Does anyone know about any other treatment for an Alztimers patient?  She also takes nuerotin, rythmol, ariceft, lanoxin, and insulin.     She has irregular heartbeats, and nueropathy in her feet.

I know you are a concerned child, but your mother's case is so complicated that your best way to care for her is to make sure you have the right doctor. When you have so many different medications and ailments at the same time, advice from strangers can be very harmful. The case has to be managed and balanced very carefully.

My dad has alztimers and is living in a care home in Yucca Valley for the past 6 months.  What exactly does the word sundowners mean?  Why do they yell at night??  Is this call sundowners?

Thank you....
