B12 deficancy and metal decision making processes.

How long does it take the "normal person to start showing low blood levels of B12. I have been feeling like heck for 3 to 4 years and have been told I had depression, ADD, .I was started on welbutrin and it just seemed to mask the problem, after a while my symptoms got so bad with the numbness of my hands and feet and I felt stiff and totally out of sorts. I had a B12 blood level of 109 and after starting methylcobalamin B12 I was showing sighns of some improvements. I still am having the numbness and pins and needles sensations , and it has been 2 months now on B12 Blood levels are 1500> .How long can I expect this course to take? Is there any chance of regaining all of my abilitys back. I still feel like I am sore and stiff constamtly, and I an getting pains in joints and having mussles that are hurting constantly. I get weard burning senations on the backs of my arms and have uncntrolable shaking at times in my hands, it comes and goes.

Also I had been experiancing some very disturbing changes of personality and had done some things that I would have never done normally. I cant even get a answer for the local nurolagist on that one. I am enountering legal troubles now because of decisions I had made during the undiagnosed and untreated time. I have even lost memory of these things having even happened at all it has been 2 years or so now since the "alleged" occurances.
I didnt do any physical harm to anyone or anything like that, it was just a case of me going off on a "mission" to stop something I should have stayed out of, and would have , if I had been thinking clearly!
I have seen somewere that the lack of B12 can cause demetia and can affect the minds ability to understand things or to make what one would call "proper decissions".
I understand it can cause a vast ammount of problems. how do I "prove" these issues. I am looking for an expert wittness on this subject also, any seggestions?
I get weard mussle spasms in my face on my right side just slightly in toward my chin and the corner of my mouth. , its like the skin twitches and pulses. this happens on my arms too. I have seen already that the B12 levels having been increased has made me think differently, and I have a different attitude now and my personality is back to what it was 6 years ago or so.
Sorry for the typos, thats another things it causes, I am very uncoodinated with typing know and I cant remember how to spell a lot of words correctly, I will acutally type a entirely wrong word into a sentencetoo , like I would want to type "of " and I get "for" instaed. and my letters in was word are reversed too.
Thankyou, Chris

Chris, I wish I knew enough about b12 to answer your specific questions but its not something a psychiatrist can answer well.  You need to ask these same questions to either a neurologist or an internal medicine specialist.  In general what you say about the mental effects of b12 is correct.  Sorry...

I was diagnosed in 1982 with MS.  In 1996, a Dr. discovered I had B12 level <100 and discounted original MS diagnosis.  MS and B12 are both assoiated with central nervous system thus producing a number of symptons. My symptons included tingling in extremeties and extreme fatigue.  As my levels went up >1000), I started to feel better.  However, my levels now are around 200 and I feel crummy.  Can';t seem to get answers from any Dr. regarding why my levels have fallen so drastially recently. I am on disability since I was let go from several jobs.  My supervisors would as what went on at a meeting and I couldn't remember being at a mmeting (as I told my firends, if I was my supervisor, I would fire me to).I guess I don't have any answers for you but I can empathize with you and understand what you are going through.  It seems that few Drs. are knowledgeable about B12 deficiencies.
