Becoming scared.....

I have been diagnosed with severe depression for 6 months now.  I am currently taking Wellbutrin SR 300mg.  I am not sure if this is a side effect or not.  I jump all of the time.  Between my head, hand, legs, feet, arms, shoulder.... pretty much everything.  This happens to me everyday all day long.  I wouldn't mind if it were just little twitches, but its like I am losing control of my muscles.  I am also taking Bentylol for excessive sweating.  Does any of this sound familiar?  Or how can I go about getting this checked further?  I also experience a high pitch noise in my ears.  I am becoming very concerned and feel that these may be symptoms of another illness.  My doctor won't address this problem because she feels that the depression (although I don't feel as though I am depressed, and feel its another mental illness) is much more importantand she wants to handle one thng at a time.  This is very upsetting for me.

Wellbutrin, at that dosage, can cause the symptoms you describe, so you should talk to your doctor about lowering the dose or discontinuing this drug and trying another one for depression.

I am taking 225mg of Effexor XR and experience also some loss of muscle control.  It is mostly when I am in bed ready to go to sleep my legs jump like if a had had an electric shock.  It does not hurt though. My guess is that this type of medicines changes your internal "wiring".

have you ever considered getting your thyroid levels tested?  Hypothyroidism can lead to some of the symptoms you mention, like sweating and anxiety.  Check it out with your MD: it's a simple set of blood tests.

Yes, I was wondering if the Effexor or meds were causing my slepping problems. I constantly jerk awake several times a night especially when first going to bed. Then I speak in an American Indian language I developed after a seizure I had about six months ago. I'll babble in the language fluently for about ten minutes or so then go back to sleep. It is really irritating. That language is taking over my English. I only speak English at work now, it's so weird because my parents swear they never knew any Native Americans when I was young.

They seem defensive when I bring it up so I think they are hiding something. My parents live across the world from me and are so old now anyway they don't remember much. We were never close anyway because my father was so abusive and beat me all the time. I don't consider myself as having a family except my cats and dogs. They are my family. Whoever is going to inherit my house in the future when I die will have to take my cats with it, that's part of the deal. It will either be my psychiatrist, she can use it for taking care of needy children, or my soulmate if I can ever get back together with him. I don't know who Ill give my Florida land to, maybe my storm chasing buddy that lives in that state.

Man I really am on a psycho-babble, Temporal Lobe la-la land situation tonight. I think I am due for a stinking seizure and that is probably why. I have one every few days and one is due. I really have something to look forward to.   growl, roar, scratch and claw, I feel like ****. I need to take my meds. The right side of my head has been hurting more and more lately and I think that's part of it.

I plan to go off the Effexor though, I don't think I need it and I don't really think is does me any good.
