~Bipolar Disorder with hallucinations?

~Bipolar Disorder with hallucinations?

Hello,
I am a 38 yr old, married, woman of two.  I've been pretty stable with my Bipolar for the last two years.  (I take Lithium, Remeron, Zoloft, Ritalin and Risperdal)
I recently began hearing voices and seeing bugs and figures from my peripheral vision.  I've heard voices in the past, but, this is a first for the visuals.
Is this normal for Bipolar?  Could I be schitzophrantic?  I've also become very depressed lately and as in the past, am obsessed with dying.
My oldest son has Tourette Syndrome, ADHD (I also have ADD)and he has learning disabilities. Findind the right meds for him has been quite a challange.  He's 12 yrs old, weighs 216lbs. and has recently started taking Lithium also.  It's too soon to tell if it's helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Ruthie,

Hallucinations are sensory perceptions in the absence of stimuli which can occur in both psychiatric disorder (bipolar disorder, scizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder) and medical conditions namely delirium.  I recommend  discussing this with your psychiatrist who may want a medical work up to rule out medical concerns and/or adjust your Risperdal dose. I hope this was helpful.

Sincerely,
