Brain Zaps

I am getting what seem to be Brain Zaps but have never taken medications...i have also not had any panic/anxiety attacks for quite some time. I even saw a nuerologist and had an MRI done and everything came back clear. it stopped for a while and not it's back...What other explanations could this be?

Withdrawal from another substance?  A deficiency??  I don't know.
Could there be an anxiety link?  To me it sounds like it stopped while there was reassurance from the neurologist/ scan.  I could be wrong.  I really don't know.  It's good that the scan can be clear though.
