Can mental illness be linked to seizure activity?

I have heard that there may be a possible link of seizures being linked to mental illness as a trigger.  Are you aware of any literature on this subject or have any suggestions?

Certainly anxiety or high stress can trigger seizure or increase the frequency, but can not cause seizures if there is no underlying neurological reason for the seizures.

Seizures are a separate issue, with no cause and effect relationship to mental illness.  If a person has seizures, they may have trouble coping with the fact of the seizures, but that is not mental illness.
