Cold Turkey Zoloft 200mg, then starting up full dose.

Cold Turkey Zoloft 200mg, then starting up full dose.

I have been battling anxiety/panic for 3-4 years. I was prescribed Zoloft around that time. I have been taking 200mg for 2 years. For a month, i completely stopped taking Zoloft. Don't know what i was thinking. About 2 weeks ago, i started up full dose again,200mg. I am having severe anxiety, tired, and feels like i'm breathing a lot differently( due to anxiety?). My question is: Am i most likely feeling like this due to me being off Zoloft for a month, cold turkeying it, or is a problem with me starting back up on full doseage which is causing more anxiety?

Thank YOU for anyones comments, etc.

The most likely scenario is that the underlying anxiety is not being covered because you have only been  on it for two week....give yourself another two weeks, and then make another assessment.

I would consult your doctor first. But I know how much of a pain that can be.

I would assume that your symptoms will go away after a week or so at your normal dosage. It takes a while for your body to get used to the meds again.

Never stop a drug like that cold turkey without at least replacing it w another. The one and only time I did it caused me to spend 3 weeks in a hospital open pscy ward and caused me to lose a baby in utero at 9 weeks!  Now if I go 24 hours without my meds, I start getting sick.
