38 year old caucasian female
no children
birth control pills for past 15 years
asthmatic but, in contol with Proventil & Vanceril
Symptoms:
No menstrual cycle for 5 months; very light for 2 prior
Diminished sexual desire for same period, had been fine previously
Always tired/fatigued, regardless of number of hours of rest
Headaches (3-4 Advil 2 to 3 times a day)
Always cold or hot (very seldom comfortable)
Weight gain (30 pounds in 6 mos; 8 lbs in last 7 weeks)
When eat, get full very quickly, then 1 hour later very hungry
Nausea after eating
Abdominal pain (~ 2 inches below belly button)
Leaky bladder, smell of urine
Loose stools
Chronic sinus infections
Current State
Full blood panel shows all normal
   Estrogen on the low side of normal
Pelvic Ultrasound shows all normal
   Very small uterus
MD says must be psychological and stress related
Referral to endocrinologist and gynocologist
Question:
Has anyone had similar symptoms? If so, what was the diagnosis?
Any suggestions?
