Could this be schizophrenia? worried

I’m desperately after some advice on the following…im scared its classed as hearing voices/hallucinations, and potentially the onset of schizophrenia??? I suffer from OCD / GAD.
I keep imagining negative future conversations with my inner voice with people in my environment etc…for example:
I will be in the gym and look over at 2 girls thinking they are nice, then suddenly I will imagine a scenario of one of the girls speaking to the other and saying ‘oh hes ugly, hes a geek, he is weird etc’ basic negative comments.
Also say if im running later for work ill imaging my boss saying ‘God hes late again, hes rubbish etc. Or ill be stretching my leg in one of the spare work rooms (just had a knee op) and ill think if anyone walks in they will think im a weirdo…I just need to know is this is normal? To make up these scenarios…and also for them to have such negativity? I also suffer from random memories popping up during the day, and sometimes including of food which I can almost taste if that makes sense???! Would these be classed as intrusive images/thoughts/hallucinations?
I’m worried these are classed as hearing voices etc/hallucinations etc? Please any advice would be great. Really worried.

Hello.

It won't be appropriate to diagnose the condition here, but the symptoms you have described here do not seem to be part of a psychotic process (e.g. Schizophrenia). In most instances, psychosis involves loss of insight to a large extent. Hallucination is a condition where the sounds/images/tastes appear 'real' and the person believes they are real. It's only through logic and persuasion that people with hallucination learn to differentiate the real from the hallucination. Also, psychosis involves more symptoms than just hallucination.

When you are imagining future negative conversations, you are probably acting on a few obsessive thoughts that create anxiety. Imagining negative conversations is something you are able to identify yourself and it happens with specific types of situations where you imagine you would be criticized (e.g. for being late). This is probably related to issues of self-esteem and core beliefs about self and others. You might benefit from a visit to a psychiatrist and a therapist.

These appear to be intrusive thoughts, probably colored with deeper issues which can be unearthed with therapy. I can't say they are psychotic, but the fact that they are affecting your life, they are not normal either. You have a choice to overcome them with conscious effort.
