CrAzY!?

CrAzY!?

I want to know if a person can drive you crazy, make you feel like your loosing your mind?  If one person is with someone who maybe is not right for them could they really drive them mad?  I have been a moody person my whole life.  I am 28 now, married, step-son.  I was on Prozac for about a year.  I decided to stop taking it and today I feel so strange.  It is very hard to describe in words.  My husband and I have been together since 95 and he has mental problems and is taking several meds for them.  My mind is filled with strange thoughts and it literally hurts.  If I walked off the face of the earth today I really would not care.  I hate my job, I have no friends.  I am starting to have medical problems.  Is this normal?  Please help.  Thanks for your time!

Dear L.B.M.,

It sounds as though you are feeling very depressed and hopeless.  The depression is compounded by marital problems.  An evaluation by a marriage counselor may help you and your husband.  Couples at times develop patterns of communication, which create friction and pain.  Often they are not aware of how they interact, making it difficult to resolve the conflicts.
It also sounds as though the Prozac was helpful to you.  The medication cannot resolve the marital problems, but may make it easier for you to cope as you and your husband work on resolving your differences.

Hi,
if you recently stopped the prozac you could be having  "discontinuation syndrome"  I have had this before...from quitting "cold turkey" and it is bad.  I felt SO strange!  It can last for weeks.
You should consider seeing your Dr. and getting on another antidepressant asap or trying your prozac again unless you did not feel better when on it?

I really can't remember when I stopped, maybe 1-2 months ago.  I went off of it slowly.  I have an appointment to see a psychologist instead of the pill pushers.  Thanks for your input.
