Dealing with depression.

I was diagnosed with severe depression two months ago.  At first i was taking 20mg of Paxil, and after two weeks of that, I was boosted up to 40mg a day of Paxil (taken early in the monring 8:00am).  I have strange side effects like extreme sweating (in which I have taken Robinul for the last four years because I sweat alot), I twitch (arms, legs, feet, face) have panic attacks, dizziness, huge appetite (I have gained close on 15 pounds).  Are all of these normal?  My focus on my depression is My long time realtionship with my boyfriend in which I can't decided what I want.  He is very supportive, and it's like my feelings are completley going for him.  This scares me because I know this would be happening if I was going through this.  Is this normal?  For a complete turn around?  what should I do?  With the side effects, could that be a sign of Paxil maybe isn't the right medication for me?  Also, I am seeing a Psychologist.  Thanks, Jeanette

Yes, these could definitely be side effects of the Paxil. YOu might ask your doctor about switching to another medication.

Also, all antidepressants modulate your feelings and will interfere with your making a decision about your boyfriend based on how you are feeling on a day to day basis.
