Depakote

How does everyone feel about Depakote being used for Bipolar II D/O , primarily Depression?  What other mood stabilizers, other than Lamictal are good for depression?

That question is actually too hard to answer because there is such controversy in the literature, and that is always some uncertainty re the accuracy of the diagnosis and the designation.  Certainly both of those have been used with reported success.
