Desoxyn for ADHD

Desoxyn for ADHD

Hello.

I am a healthy male in my 20's with ADHD (primarily inattentive).  I have tried Ritalin, Adderall (adderrall) and Dexedrine, but could not tolerate them due to cardiovascular side effects (tachycardia, chest pain, hypertension).  I have also tried Strattera, but it did not work for me.

I am aware that TCA's or Wellbutrin may be used off-label for ADHD, but I do not wish to take them.

I am interested in trying Provigil or Desoxyn (I am aware of the red tape involved with Desoxyn).

I have heard very mixed opinions on Provigil, mostly that it is more effective for wakefullness than attention.  May I ask your opinion on this?

I have also heard that Desoxyn has very minimal peripheral effects relative to the other stimulants.  Is this correct?  Is it less peripherally activating than Ritalin?

Thank you for taking my question.

The answer to both drug questions is that you are very well informed, and what you say is generally drug, but it still varies case by case and only a trial will give you the info you need for yourself.
