Don't feel present

Approximately 3 weeks ago I was diagnosed with OCD, panic disorder, and depression.  I went from feeling like a total live wire to feeling completely absent from my body.  I don't understand what is going on.  I find myself questioning where I am and what I'm doing even though I very well know the answers to these questions. I quiz myself often about facts in my life because I'm afraid I'm going to lose touch with reality (if that makes any sense).  I'm currently on 25mg of luvox per day and doubt that this could be causing this as it is such a low dose. I just want to feel 'normal again' and this certainly isn't normal for me.  What is going on?

Dear  Julie,

It must be difficult for you to deal with the fact that you are diagnosed with Obsessive- Compulsive disorder ( OCD) . Obsessions are  recurrent and intrusive thoughts, feelings, ideas or sensations. Obsessions increase anxiety. Since you are on a low dose of Luvox, your Doctor may consider increasing the dose for adequate relief of symptoms. A combination of medications and Behavioral therapy are effective in the treatment of  OCD and Panic disorder. I would recommend that you contact your  Psychiatrist for further recommendations.

Sincerely
HFHS-M.D.
