Grown woman afraid of being alone

Grown woman afraid of being alone

I have suffered from Panic/Anxiety for 10 years now. I have managed to restore some of my qualities of life threw accepting life's terms and skills to cope thru anxiety and agoraphobia. I managed to do daily errands, get myself to work F/T and decrease Panic attacks. I do still suffer from Daily anxiety. However, I am married and live 2 blocks from my Parents. I realize my husband is my "safe Person" and my parents are "Back-up safe people". I can't handle when my husband travels more than 20 miles away (even on a normal day) and can't handle when my parents go away on vacation. It is traumatic for me when they are away and worsens when my husband leaves for work. I am 29 years old and have grasped some skills to increase my quality of life. But, even if my parents were just out and there is no one around I can trust I become very Uncomfortable and Irrational. I feel like a 4 year old child who has been left home alone.  I am ashamed of this and know it has strained my relationships at times. My question is, How can I grasp a sense of self-assurance and control this Fear of feeling like a child left in neglect?
Just to add my Dad works nights/ my Mom days- which makes me feel as though I got a lucky break!

Thank you for your time-    RoseAnne G. G. (LittleWhip325)

You already have the  basic insight into your situation..it is a regression, or an arrest of growth, in part of your life( not all because you work, are married, do errands, etc.).  Now you have to tackle that area of growth with great focus.  It would be extremely helpful to be seeing a therapist on a regular basis to discuss the imagery of your fear and return your fear to the compartment of memory and  irrational, which you know it to be but don't know it deep enough to conquer it.  You could read my book, Transformations, Growth and Change in Adult life, but it hard  to find now and can only be read online at my site www.masteringstress.com as part of an etherapy program.  Don't get hooked on drugs as a way of curing this..it is a product of your mind and can be resolved by applying your mind to it the right way..not will power, but deep insight.  If you don't have a therapist, you can go to my site, take some sessions, request a consultation, and I will see if I can help you.
