Help explain my problem

I am a 38 year old male and every since I got in the professional work force I have a problem. I am very good with helping my employees as far as teaching them something or answering their questions as long as it is one on one. But if I have to talk to more than one of them at a time or if get into a conflict with someone my body seems to just shut down. I continue to talk but I can slowly feel myself loosing my voice until I can't speak anymore. The second problem (I assume is related) is sometimes I talk to someone and I feel like I am about to cry. It

Medication will not help you with this....these situations mean something to you that you do not yet understand, but your body does.  The cure is discovering what you are thinking below the surface, and the only way to do that is through good counseling.

Another reason for you feeling like that could be social anxiety. I've notice that once in a while I'll be in a public place and I become anxious that I may cry and feel as if it's not a manly thing to do, for no reason. Do I ever? NO. I think you may have some sort of anxiety issue that you should talk to your doctor about.

What I've read about a symptom of anxiety (Mainly the one you're describing is as follows:)

Sore Eyes - Reduced lubrication in the eyes during an anxiety attack causes the eyes to feel sore dry and painful.

Mainly that's why you feel as if you're going to cry because that's just a brain response to your sore eyes you could always try eye drops aka fake tears.

This is just what I think, but of course I'm not a doctor... good luck

I'd have to disagree with one aspect of the doc's response on this.  I think medication would be worth giving a shot.  The urge to cry in non-sadning situations is something that should be dealt with using medication along side your theropy (as the doc said).  Hes absolutely right though.  It wouldn't hurt to try, and if you still feel this way, cut the meds and go along with the theroputic help. Good luck!

I think you should try to know yourself better. Drugs don't help when they're taken alone, I guess that only psychoterapy in combination with medications could really help.
However...who knows what's happening to you....dig into your soul, talk about your problems with a friend or someone closed to you, search for a new activity, doing some sport...don't focuse only on The Problem. (and...speak with a doctor, it's better)
