How can I stop taking xanax

I have been taking xanax for about 3 years now .....wouldnt take it everyday and was on and off it.
All of a sudden im gradually building up a tolerance and taking more and before i knew it i started abusing it without even knowing. I take about 10mg per day and i do not want to do this anymore. Its ruining my life, but im told you shouldnt stop cold turkey, and i cant deal with withdrawls.
I heard something about a pill that you can take that actually doesnt make you crave them.  Is that true ? If so what is it and if not how do i stop ?

You're describing a very serious addiction and you will need professional help in order to end his addiction.  It is very difficult to get off Xanax at the level that you are taking it and there are many serious medical complications to consider.  For sure you should not go off of it cold turkey.  You may have to go to a rehab unit.  The first thing for you to do is to get a consultation with an addiction specialist psychiatrist.

A pill that obliterates benzo withdrawal? I have never read/heard of such. Many people switch to a longer acting benzo (librium, valium) when they are coming off a short acting benzo like xanax. The idea being that a longer acting one will make for more comfortable withdrawal. Enlist your doctor's help!
