Impotency?

Hi

I have started taking Lexapro for GAD..........One of its listed side affects is Impotence.......What does it means?......Is it permanent kind of thing?

You received the correct answer from Paxiled...it is not common, is reversible.

It means you can't get an erection.  Probably would go away if you stopped the medication.  And it doesn't happen much, much more likely is difficult getting an orgasm.

Thanks Roger..............I think i am having erection problem due to this........i have spoken to my doc and he said that erectile dysfunction  is not a permanent sideaffect and i ll see normal erection after i stop taking it.......my question is.....if a person takes this medicine for let say more than 3 yrs and then he decides to quit.....will his normal erection come back....Thanks for your help
