Inderal for anxiety/panic?

It's been suggested that I try Inderal for performance anxiety.  Has anyone had success with this drug?  Isn't it a depressant?  Is it better/stronger than BuSpar?  Thanks for your comments.

     Inderal, a beta-blocker, has been shown to be very effective in the treatment of performance anxiety.  It effectively reduces autonomic nervous system arousal(ie palpitations, hyperventilation, sweating etc).  Beta-blockers used on a regular basis have been associated with depression in some people.  In your case, you would only take Inderal 30-60 minutes prior to performance and would not have this side effect as a result. Inderal has been proven effective in performance anxiety whereas buspar does not have any demonstrable efficacy in this area.
