Is RAI a cure for Graves Disease?

I am a 42 year old women who was diagnosed with Graves Disease approx 5 years ago, at the time I had my thyroid ablated. I have had many 'normal' emotional issues that I always thought were related to being a women. Now I am reading that Graves disease and Hyperthyroidism could be a contributing factor. Can anyone tell me since I had my thyroid ablated and it no longer ' works' and I am taking Synthroid if my Graves disease is in cured or if it is just in remission and I could be having emotional issues as another symptom of the Graves? Hope this makes sense!
