Is this bipolar?

Is this bipolar?

I have been diagnosed bipolar disorder, by my GP, for a few years now. Yesterday I started with a psychiatrist, for the first time. Now let me just state that I have been having bouts of an inability to communicate verbally. I am only 'functional' for about 45 seconds and then 'phase out' for 10. So I was not able to tell my Dr.a few things. One, of which was intentional, that is, I have friends in my head. I hear voices, lots of them. I have for as long as I can remember. I've even grown fond of a couple of them and have given them names. But I don't tell my doctors this because I don't want those two to go away.
I also see things. Various sizes, from bug-size to human. When I turn to look directly at them, they go away.
Also, it's hard to describe, but I get these throbbings in my head, like a thundering heart beat. They are so powerfull that they affect my vision, my hearing and my body actually twitchs to them.
Are these also a part of being bipolar?
Thanks for your time.

There are some forms of that diagnosis that your symptoms fit, but let me advise you.  If you want some real help from your psychiatrist you have to tell him all this, and more.  The whole idea is to clear up your thinking so you can have a better life, and part of the story is not enough.

You are not only bipolar but you are schizophrenic!
I am not going to joke about this bc my aunt is bipolar, manic, and schizophrenic. And you really have to get on the right treatment for this disorder!!
They will most likely prescribe you lithium for your voices, and such. and you will probably have to get treated for depression too!
i am sorry that you are in such a condition, but it is definetly treatable, you just have to give it some time. My aunt is doing great today, but she is so bad that if she strays from her medicine she goes right back to being all over the place.
They have MRI for testing to see if you are schizophrenic, it is like a nerve test i believe, in your frontal lobe. if your nerve endings are all over the place and i believe that you can actually lose tissue in your brain from being schizophrenic.
Either how, get in and get some help ASAP!

Please be advised that only a doctor/therapist can diagnose you.  Making a diagnosis of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia involves an extensive assessment and history.  One that cannot be made on this forum.  You need to talk candidly with your therapist about all of your symptoms so he can give you options for treatment.  You are in control of your treatment decisions; your therapist/doctor is there to guide you and offer you recommendations.  Good luck.
