Lariam

With due respect, regarding your advice here http://medhlp.netusa.net/forums/mentalhealth/archive/78.html

why do you give the impression that lariam is safe for this person when they clearly have a psychological problem which is a strong contraindication for the use of lariam?

If you didn't know that, would something more than a standard legal disclaimer not be necessary?

IMO it IS acceptable that doctors not be the ultimate authority on health issues, but giving the impression of authoritive advice as so many doctors seem to do, when they are understandably not as fully advised as they could be, surely that is dangerous.

Jim, I was not the doctor who gave that answer, but it seems he used good medical judgement about giving information since there were no reported interactions at that time.

Its good to know that there are alert people liking you bringing up this issue for the benefit of all of us.
