Lexapro withdrawal symptoms

Lexapro withdrawal symptoms

I have been on Lexapro for about a year and a half now and recently ran out of my perscription about a week ago and i am experiencing some unusual symptoms.  I am having these weird almost "brain zap" feelings as well as twitching feelings.  I am wondering if this is a normal occurance of not taking the medication or if this may be from something else.  Is there anyone that has experience a similar withdrawal symptom??

This is probably the most commonly reported symptom of withdrawal...it's real, it's annoying, and it will go away, but the best way is to go back on your medicaiton, and if you want to stop later, stop over a three week period.

Brain Zaps is what alot of people i notice are calling them.  I describe them ( if it is the same thing) as like buzzes in your head when your eyes move one way -- now and then and it sounds kinda like zz zz zz?  Is it the same thing?

I weened off slowly--so i thought last week and now since tuesday i feel like **** and the zz zz zz is so minor compared to the other symptoms i am having to deal with as we speak.

Are you really not having any other symptoms?  and you just stopped taking no weening off? If so your lucky.  But your zaps could be stronger and louder and more often so who knows we are all different
