Long Term Use of Adderall(adderrall)

I was diagnosed with ADD at the age of 8 and have been taking a variety of meds since then but nothing seemed to work except Adderall (adderrall).  I have been taking  Adderall (adderrall) everyday for 8 years now and I would like to get pregnant next year.  I am fearful that when I stop taking my medication I will go into severe withdrawls if not a temporay psychosis. I definitely plan to consult with my Dr. about this but I wanted to hear from someome who has experience as well.  In the past 8 years, I may have went without my medication for a day and it felt just awful.  Is there anyone here who has taken it steadily for this long and stopped?  If so, what was your experience like?

When you do stop, you should stop gradually and have your doctor prescribe some other medication to calm you during the withdrawal period...you should give yourself a long time to withdraw, so plan carefully.
