Medication Help-- Cannot take anything

For years I could handle ANY psych med (including Haldol)- then, last november, a new psychiatrist put me on 80 mg of Prozac and 8 mg of Risperdal (i am not THAT psychotic). Soon after, I would lose days at a time, my tongue would stick out of my mouth, and my vision blurred terribly and i ended up at an eye doctor's who told me to call my doctor NOW. He never returned my calls. I took myself off my meds and things slowly got better though my memory hasn't been the same. I have a new doctor now who is very nice and smart- BUT since the Risperdal/Prozac incident, i cannot take any med practically. i need a small dose of an anti psychotic but it causes terrible head and facial burning-- and the SSRIs induce hyper manic spells-- i cannot tolerate any of them anymore. he recognizes this, too.... and right now, i am in a mess.  all i can handle is lithium and that isn't enough--
what do you think might have caused this?  i was okay before last year... i thought about a psychopharmacologist-- but i am in a small town and am not sure what they do.  

i know this is a bit-- but i need help and am not sure what to do... would you suggest a psychopharmacologist? if YOU were in my SITUATION-- where would you start?

I am not sure of the cause, but I defintely recommend a psychopharmacologist.  A psychopharmacologist is a psychiatrist with special training in medications. You may be able to find one closer to you, but if not, I would call the university nearest to you that has a medical school, and ask for referral to a psychopharmacologist. That is your most reliable source..if not that, your family doctor could also do that for you. Its important to talk to an expert in your case because of your sensitivities.  good luck.
