Since the dosage of 300 Welbutrin SR is insufficient, is it appropriate to raise it to 400 a day vs starting medication named celexa, 20 mg?

Wellbutrin SR is an antidepressant that is usually prescribed in doses of 150 mg twice a day, which may be increased to a maximum dose of 200 mg twice a day. Because of the risk of seizures, the total daily dose of Wellbutrin SR should not exceed 400 mg. Celexa is a different type of antidepressant that is usually prescribed in starting doses of 20 mg daily. With the limited information provided, it is impossible for me to say which of the two medications is most appropriate for you. Often though, we maximise the dose of one medication before adding or starting another.
