Medication interactions

I have been on Prozac 10 mg. for many years for depression. I have had no ill effects and the drug is effective. I have recently been having some painful orthopedic problems which caused my depression to get worse, so my doctor increased the dose of Prozac to 20 mg. temporarily. Yesterday, the pain management specialist started me on Neurontin for severe back and hip pain. I am on 300 mg. on an increasing dose schedule over several days, finally taking 300 mg. 6 times a day. I need to know if there is any problem taking these two medications concurrently?

I also take Prilosec 20 mg. daily for reflux disease. I see that you should not take Neurontin within 2 hours of antacids. Is Priloisec considered an antacid or is it in another classification?

Thank you for your help.

Neurontin and antidepressants are commonly prescribed together, so there should be no problem with that. Prilosec, I believe, would not be considered an antacid in the way I think that is meant for this purpose, but should double check with your pharmacist.
